This involves the
creation of a temporary career support office.
We establish this on the client site(s) to provide a hands-on
service over an agreed period. The service offers a 'one stop shop'
approach to helping those in need, and is arranged according to
numbers and the level of support required.
A typical job clinic replicates a recruitment consultancy
approach to helping your staff - with clear, quick advice on job
search, CVs, job applications and managing interviews.
Typical Job Clinic outline
- Agreed over a period of days and at times/opening hours for the
convenience of individuals - e.g. ranging from 8am to 8pm,
Monday to Friday.
- Confidential service - between the career consultant and each
individual; no specific feedback given on individuals unless prior
consent is pledged.
- A mutual location - preferably within the client's buildings
and with a discrete arrival /exit procedure given to those
considering their redundancy options.
- Direct email, telephone, mobile and internet access required at
client site - internet and PC access is needed to demonstrate job
search, CV building and associated skills.
- Career consultants to work with individuals on c.30 minute
sessions to develop personal CVs, job searching skills, application
and interview techniques.
- Consultants typically combine career search skills with
recruitment backgrounds to ensure individuals can maximise the
benefit of the consultants' expertise. Advice is practical and
realistic for the current job market and matched to an individual's
circumstances.
- Group-wide feedback - this is provided to the client to
demonstrate the value of the service and to ensure progress is
being made with all relevant individuals.
